Frequently Asked Question

The work we do together will be confidential. For ethical reasons, I have supervision and may discuss our work with my supervisor, but you will be referred to as ‘Client A’/’Client B’ etc to ensure your confidentiality.  Confidentiality would only be broken if I feel you are at serious risk to yourself, or I have concern about a risk to other people.  Should this arise, I would contact your GP or an alternative

  • Psychotherapy is similar to counselling; however, there is a greater emphasis on going back and exploring how certain past events made you think and feel and how the event(s) may relate to your presenting problem.

  • Your sessions with me will offer a safe and confidential space to discuss your concerns and any difficulties you may be facing. You can openly share your thoughts, feelings, and emotions, which will help you understand yourself and others. Together, we will try to find solutions to your concerns or help you develop coping mechanisms that will ensure you make positive, constructive progress.

  • I offer face-to-face sessions in London and Zurich and online using Zoom and FaceTime.

  • Sessions are normally run weekly or bi-weekly. I offer daytime, some evenings, and occasional weekend sessions.

  • Every client’s therapeutic journey is unique, and while some people will be happy with only a few sessions, other clients work with me long-term. After the first session, if you want to continue, I ask you to book a block of five sessions which we will review at the end.

Confidentiality will only be broken if I feel you are at serious risk to me or I have concerns about a risk to other people. Should this arise, I would contact your GP or an alternative appropriate resource. Generally, I would have a full discussion with you before taking this action.

  • If you are at risk, please contact your GP immediately or present yourself at the hospital, ring the Samaritans, or speak to somebody you trust.
